About Me

Hello there, my name is Thalia Dawn Haynes and my pronouns are They/Them.

​

I’m a coffee loving, freelance artist living in Melbourne, I've been drawing and creating characters for as long as I can remember and it's been the most persistent passion in my life. Some of my earliest memories are of watching Fantasia and loving it, once I found out how animation came to be and the creative process behind it, I knew that's the creative industry I wanted to work towards.

My favorite part of the creative process is trying to capture the personality of my characters, trying to understand who they are and how they'd act, when I feel like I find them and see them in my drawing, it always puts a big smile on my face. No matter who I'm drawing, I always like to make sure that the vision I'm trying to capture, or my own, is as alive on the page as they are in our minds.

 

Positive representation and inclusion of all the  amazing and different kinds of people we share the Earth with is important to me and I look up to the many creators across the film and television industries who came before me and have been paving the way to real change.
